Lee Gale Gruen started acting 17 years ago after retiring from her 37-year career as a probation officer. She has appeared in television, videos, commercials, theater, and print as well as portrayed patients at UCLA Medical School and Samuel Merritt University for student training. She was an exercise/dancer in the 2011 "Jane Fonda's Prime Time Firm & Burn" workout DVD, and was in a 2016 Super Bowl commercial. Her transition to becoming an actress in her senior years has been written about in Time Magazine, the Los Angeles Times newspaper, AARP," and in Marlo Thomas' 2014 book, It Ain't Over...Till It's Over, which profiles women who have reinvented themselves.
